Florida Vacation

Friday we said goodbye to the beach and headed home--a little sunburned and with sand throughout our hair. We were glad to see Chris but we miss the beach already. We can't wait to go back!

By our last day, Kiersten was feeling much better and was back jumping in the waves.

Kiersten felt sick on Wednesday and only wanted to lay on the beach. Not the most exciting for vacation!

As usual, Abbie made friends with everyone around her and had a blast playing in the waves and sand.

The rest of the week was absolutely beautiful, with temperatures around 75 every day. We spent most of our time on the beach in Miramar. It was amazingly beautiful with green water and white sand. Analise was content playing in the sand. She was really afraid of the water and refused to come near it.

Our first day in Destin was a little cloudy and rainy, but that didn't stop us from hitting the beach. We went to a beach east of Mirmar where we found a lot of seashells--and a lot of Portugese man-of-wars that had washed up on the beach!

For spring break, we took a trip to Destin, Florida. Chris had to work, so it was just me and the girls. The car ride wasn't too bad thanks to lots of movies and the ipod that Chris loaded with my favorite music. Florida was a welcome break after our loss the week before and it was wonderful to relax on the beach and forget everything else. We stopped in Nashville overnight and took a look at the temple the next day near our hotel.

Just a small dose of Analise's antics the past couple of weeks. Notice the "No" on the pink wall (subliminal message?) and the layer of "Mommy's makeup." I was still washing it off her face after a shower.

Finally Blogging

So after putting off starting a blog for months, I decided that today was the day. No more procrastination!!

It's been kind-of a crazy day. I felt horrible this morning and had to cancel a play date and presidency meeting...and Analise decided to draw on as many walls upstairs and down as she could with a ballpoint pen. This is nothing new, but I think the damage she did was over the top!

Yesterday was Analise's 3rd birthday. I can't believe how old she is. She has been such a delight to have in our family (even with her use of the above metioned artistic talents). We celebrated with her favorite dinner--peanut butter sandwich appetizers, hotdogs, strawberries, green beans, and a backyardigans cake. Grandma & Grandpa Stapley sent her puzzles which she loves! and Kiersten and Abbie hit the dollar store to find Dora toys--they were a hit. We gave her a train table (she loves Thomas) but she hasn't gotten around to playing with it yet. Everything else has kept her busy. Happy 3rd Birthday Analise!!
