So it's time to catch up. And let's see, my last entry was in July. Whew! It would take about a hundred pics to tell what we've been up to and since that would take about 10 hours to upload on blogger, I'm going to stick with a brief synopsis.
Since then, we've: had a blast with family in Seattle; found a house we love on 4 1/2 acres (with an indoor pool, pond, tennis court, and a lot of work to update it) it's about 8 minutes south of where we live now; put our house on the market and are waiting for it to sell (had three showings this past week, let's hope someone liked it, I'm getting tired of showings!); went to Nauvoo to see Church history and also hunted for geodes (yes, we're the rock geeks and we found a few pretty awesome ones); Kierst started playing the saxophone in school; Abs moved up in taekwondo rank to camo belt--she's now in the harder classes and loves every minute of it, especially sparring; the rest of the family started taekwondo, too, we're all orange belts now (woohoo!) and are having fun trying something new (and let me just say that Chris is waaay better than I am--you should see his kicks--and it's definitely making me work harder, nothing like a little competition); Kierst performed as a Who in a Seussical Musical in her middle school, fun fun!; Lisi sang Thanksgiving songs at school, too cute!; Chris is trying to squeeze in tennis whenever he can, as for me, between drills and leagues I play 3-5 times a week, am finally starting to regain some of my strokes but still struggling with reaction time--how did I ever give it up for 14 years?; Kierst started 3x week practices for basketball and took a sewing class for the first time--smoke is already coming off my machine as she hasn't stopped sewing since :); then there's Activity Days and cub scouts (Chris is webelos leader and I've been his assistant leader the past few months since no one's been called yet).
I think that covers some of it. Hopefully I won't be so long in blogging from now on!!
